Driving Change: How to Make Work Fair
What works to improve fairness at work? Using decades of data, research and evidence, Siri Chilazi, a senior researcher at the Women and Public Policy Program and Harvard Kennedy School, sought to answer this question. The result is her latest book Make Work Fair, coauthored with Iris Bohnet, in which she outlines practical approaches to closing gender pay gaps, debiasing processes and improving gender balance in the workplace.
Siri collaborates with organizations from start-ups to large multinational firms to government organizations to focus their efforts on actions that are the most likely to drive change. While in Australia, Siri has teamed up with WGEA to offer her insights to employers seeking to improve their workplaces ahead of the new requirements to select and meet gender equality targets.
During this in-person event, Siri and Mary Wooldridge, CEO of Workplace Gender Equality Agency, will explore how redesigning workplace systems and behaviors can lead to more equitable outcomes and offer both thought-provoking perspectives and practical, actionable solutions to help drive meaningful change.
